Europe is one of the best places to travel to, and at the minute we’re free to do so far easier than we will within the next few years. However, that isn’t to say that it won’t be any different than travelling to the US. A quick visa form filled out and you’re good to go. We’re so blessed to live so close to Europe and all that it has to offer, and we would definitely recommend that people take it for what it has to offer. Because what you’ll find is a great part of the world, which each country and part of Europe offering its own story. When you look at the history that surrounds some of the major tourist spots, it’s just crazy to think that life used to be that way. But it paved the way for the great parts of Europe that we know and love today. Parts would not be as developed, or as rich in culture as they are if all of the things that history tells didn’t happen. So, all you have to do is keep on reading, and we’ll show you some of the adventures that are to be had around Europe that we don’t think you should be missing out on!
The Romance Of Rome
Rome definitely has a lot of romance to offer, and we’d love for you to be a part of it this year. If you haven’t been to Rome yet, then you don’t know what you’re missing out on. Rome is the chance for you to experience the Italian way of life at its finest. We know that some other areas of Italy might be more authentic, but we can’t discredit the Italian grace to Rome has to offer. There are the main tourist hotspots that everyone goes for, and we’d definitely recommend that you go for them. From the Trevi fountain which has created many a profile worthy picture, to the enormous scale of the Collesium, we think there’s so much to see and do there. One activity we definitely wouldn’t miss out on is Segwaying. It can be done near to the Vatican city, and it’s just a bit of fun to be able to race around on a Segway. Speaking of the Vatican city, it’s most definitely a must. The guided tours can be a little pricey, but you should be able to find someone who is selling tickets for cheaper outside the Vatican itself.
The best thing is you can see Rome in style (even if you’re on a budget), so you don’t have to worry about digging into your pocket for this. The article we’ve linked to is called just that, and you can find out more by reading it! The great thing about Europe city breaks is they actually don’t cost much. Three nights away should cost no more than £500 each, including spending money, if you can plan it at the right time of the year. If you add up all the junk you buy in a week and put it towards a holiday instead, it’ll soon add up.
The Serenity Of Santorini
Santorini has grown in popularity, so much so that we have come to realise it’s one of the fastest-growing tourist hotspots in Europe. We know that it used to have a ton of visitors anyway, but thanks to the power of social media showing its beauty, and the many ways to now travel there, it has grown in popularity. It’s staggering to see how many cruise ships line the shores, full of tourists waiting to come and capture the beauty. We would recommend that you go out of prime season, just to beat the crowds. So for things to do you’ve got a lot of walking and sightseeing options. If you fancy it, there are quad bike tours that take you around some of the cliffs to see amazing views. There are also semi-private catamaran cruises that will allow you to see the beauty of the sea. Aside from that, spend your days climbing the steps and touring the cobbled streets. You’ll be wrapped up with the beauty of the small island, and you’ll definitely work up an appetite. There’s a lot of places serving traditional Greek food with an incredible view. Metaxi Mas is just one of the restaurants that has got such amazing reviews.
Exploring Icelandic Wonders
Iceland is another part of Europe that has definitely grown in popularity as the years have gone one. So many tourists are attracted to the bright lights of the Nothern Lights but fail to realise that there is so much more that this great place has to offer. From stopping in a glass igloo for the night, to an Icelandic cruise to spot some whales. We will admit that travelling here is so expensive. Sometimes it’s easy to get a good deal on the cost of the flights and hotel, but being there is so expensive. Booking excursions and eating out all of the time can bring up a big bill, so make sure you’re prepared for that. The Blue Lagoon is a must, and so is the Thingvellir National Park. From excursion to excursion you will hop, all whilst trying to take in the beauty that surrounds you. The way of life in Iceland is far more relaxed than you might think, and everything is far more simple, so expect to go with the Icelandic flow.
Europe’s Best Destination Of 2019
Europe is full of great destinations, but there is one that rose to the top in 2019 and won Europes best destination of 2019, and that’s Budapest. So many people are travelling there now creating a surge in tourist activity. Going at any time of year is perfect. Whether you have the warmth of the summer sun fuelling your days, or experience the beauty of the Christmas celebrations in December. There’s a ton of things to do here but it’s a part of Europe most famous for baths that attract so much tourist attention. There’s also Hereo’s Square and Danube Promenade that are both well worth a visit.
